When you think of a cat lady, you first imagine a lady living with at least three cats. However, while we think three cats shouldn’t be an issue when it comes to every responsibility you have as a pet owner, there’s one woman that took everything to a whole new level. And we’re talking about her owning 14 cats – she has a huge house and garden especially built for her rather unusual felines!
20. A Loving Pet Owner
No matter what we love – cats, dogs, or both, we must admit that Ivana Čákorová, from the Czech Republic, is a loving pet owner. She took her love for felines to a new level when she decided to grow some bigger kitties…
19. The Cats
Ivana is a 58-year-old woman that works in a clothing store, meaning her main job is not caring for these kitties, but she definitely works as if she would be a full-time caretaker. She calls them her babies, and just wait until you see how big they are!
18. Her Outfit Is On Point
We must admit her outfit is quite on point, and you’ll soon understand why. Until now, you’ve only seen a few of her housecats. But what we didn’t expect was to see the other felines and their playground. It’s heaven on earth.
17. Living in Prague
Ivana lived in the center of Prague, but as her furry friends began growing both in size and in number, she moved to the suburbs where she built this sanctuary for her babies. If reincarnation were real, we’d want to become one of her pets, because it’s every cat’s dream!
16. Yes, That’s Not a Housecat!
You might have expected to see some wild cats around, considering Ivana’s outfit was a good hint of what’s to be revealed. But while she has four cute servals in her care, you wouldn’t expect also to see a puma… And we’re just getting started…
15. Seven Housecats
In total, out of the 14 felines, only seven of them are domestic housecats. The other seven are: four servals, a puma, a caracal, and an adorable chunky bobcat. What does Ivana do in her spare time? Let’s hear it from her!
14. “My Felines Are My Children”
“I simply love them, my felines are my children,” she said in an interview with Barcroft TV. She moved to the bigger house for them, she explained, so that the cats “could have lots of nice space, a good life, so that they have all they need.”
13. A Beautiful Life
Ivana explains that she is living a beautiful life, and her cats make her feel live at one with nature. Her fur babies are also very spoiled and love her a lot, although playtime can be a little too rough, she added…
12. Each Cat Has Her Own Bedroom
Each of the bigger cats has their own bedrooms and outdoor space for playing. They can roam in the house like the other seven housecats. Ivana admitted that there are no holidays when you have so many animals in your care.
11. She Doesn’t Want to Go On Holidays
Everyone is looking forward to book a plane ticket and go to an exotic retreat, but not Ivana. She’s not interested in leaving her home, and leaving the cats to spend her holidays someplace else would be a punishment for her and for her babies!
10. Aggressive Wild Cats
“My first experience, I didn’t know at all what to expect. I thought that when I see a serval kitten it’ll bite me, that it will be aggressive, that it will be uncontrollable,” explained the woman. But she then realized it was the opposite!
9. Cute and Cuddly!
“The serval and caracal kittens are divine, cuddly darlings. They weren’t intolerant or hostile at all. Nothing has ever happened to me. Sometimes accidents happen, of course, accidents can happen,” said Ivana. What happened?
8. Cats Can Be A Bit Aggressive
Even housecats that are too playful can scratch us while playing chasing, every cat owner knows it. Ivana’s one serval sunk its claws into her leg and when it jumped, she got scratched.
7. She Has Scratches on Her Hands All The Time
One time, one of the cats got so excited, and instead of catching a stick, it scratched her hands… But she knew that it wasn’t an intentional attack. And even so, she knows how to react when one of her cats mistake her hands for their prey!
6. Feeding The Babies
“I think they eat better than I do,” said Ivana, explaining she buys pheasants, quails, and turkey from hunters, and sometimes even deer. And although all her cats are well-trained and they love and respect her, sometimes accidents happen…
5. Not Moving Her Hand
While filming for her interview with Barcroft TV, Ivana showed the cameramen that a serval took hold of her hand while playing and she explained how she stopped moving the hand that was in the serval’s paws, ready to bite….
4. It Was No Longer Interesting
When the serval’s “prey” went motionless, it soon became uninteresting, so it let go of it. Slowly, Ivana took back her hand and continued to play with the servals with its toys. And talking about toys, let’s see the outdoors playground!
3. Tree Houses, Tunnels, Lairs, Stairs!
These cats have everything they ever wanted. They have friends, a loving human mother, and a lot of ground they can explore. Just look at these tree houses, tunnels, and vegetation…
2. They Are Domesticated
The wild cats she now cares for have all been bred in captivity and were accustomed to humans, which means that releasing them into the wild means sending them to their death.
1. They’re Living The Life
We must agree that the servals, puma, caracal, and bobcat are all happy to live in this amazing house and playgrounds, where they’re fed, groomed, loved and where they are all friends. It’s safe to say they’re living the life!
